ZERUMUGA
The border of the sky
Zerumuga is a photographic meditation on impermanence.
For over a year, I returned again and again to the same horizon, not searching for extraordinary light or dramatic weather but seeking a state of absolute presence.
The project was made in the aftermath of my mother's death. Returning to the sea became my way of inhabiting grief, not to overcome it, but to remain with it.
By returning repeatedly to the same horizon, I reveal the uniqueness of each moment. What appears immutable is never the same twice.
Zerumuga invites the viewer to share this experience: to meet impermanence through presence.
