The sea has been an intimate anchor since childhood. The beach is a unique territory where bodies relax and social roles briefly dissolve. I observe gestures, postures, the distances between people, and those fleeting moments of surrender and freedom. People presence also lingers in what they leave behind: a crumpled towel, a pair of sandals, an overturned beach umbrella, a few forgotten toys. These ordinary objects become quiet traces of human presence, sketching a fragile memory of our summers.

Yet this lightness is now permeated by another reality.  Without seeking to illustrate an environmental message, my photographs explore the tension between the enduring beauty of these places and their growing fragility. It is a way of looking at these landscapes we love while asking ourselves how much longer they will be able to sustain such carefree moments.
